September Stitch Fix Review

It's that time again!!! Time for my monthly Fix. I was so excited to see what my stylist had put together for me. September is a hard month though, in my opinion... I am ready for boots, scarves and sweaters, but the 90-100 degree heat index still says shorts or bathing suits.

For those of you that are maybe just reading my blog, or have never heard of Stitch Fix, it's so much fun!!! It's a subscription service (you can choose monthly, or more or less frequent if you like!) and you have personal stylists that put together 5 items just for you based on your style profile, Pinterest wish board, budget and even suggestions. You only have to keep what you like, but if you keep all 5 you get a 25% discount!! You can send the items back just by putting them in a pre-postaged bag provided by Stitch Fix (how easy is that?!).  For more details see my blog post here.  You can also sign up for your own Fix by using this link here.

Anyways... Now for the fun part. Dress up and Stitch Fix reveal :)

Stitch Fix #3

I am always torn at the beginning.... whether to go straight to the clothes or look at my styling card first.

Item: 41Hawthorn Endsley Wrap Dress in Navy

Opinion: This dress is cute, comfortable and classy. I don't own any wrap dresses like this so it's definitely different. It also has a neat geometric texture to it. I know I could wear it with heels and pearls for a classic look, or with a blazer and ballet flats for work. As crazy as it is too, when I put it on I couldn't help but think if we had another baby how easy this dress would be for breast feeding!! Haha!!! (Maybe that's because NK asked for a baby sister when she woke up this morning...)

Verdict: unsure!!! I really like it and KNOW I would get my wear out of it... But I am still kinda torn. I feel like something about it makes my hips look kinda big. BUT it has buttons that I think I could get my mama to move for me to make it a little more fitted :)  The worst part, I wish I had a blazer to wear with it!!  Maybe I should request one in my next Fix ;)

My little model, Norah Kate.  Please, excuse her tongue sticking out. (and the roll of toilet paper in her hand??)

Item: Pixley Embellished Skirt

Opinion: and this my friends, is why I love Stitch Fix!!! This skirt is SO cute and unique. I have really never seen anything in the store like this skirt :) (well, not locally anyways...) I love that it is so versatile. I could pair it with a black tank for date night (someone tell me what this is again??), a sweater and black tights for Winter, a black shirt and pumps for work. SO many options!!

Verdict: KEPT!!

My favorite part about this picture is Norah Kate wearing my booties.

Item: Margaret M Slimming Straight Leg Pant

Opinion:  You can't tell from the picture, but these are like a teal-green-blue color. (in between a navy and a green?).  Very cute.  I definitely don't own anything like them.  They are supposed to be "ankle length."  Obviously in my short legs, they are regular length (haha!)  But I don't think they look bad.  When I pulled these out of the box, I was not sure if I liked them or not, mainly because of the pattern on them.  I asked my stylist for colored skinny pants (preferably not denim so I could wear them to work too).  This was not what I was expecting, but I still think they are really nice.  I was kinda hoping for olive or burgundy.  However, I think these could also be a versatile piece and color for all seasons.

Verdict:  I am on the fence a little, but 99.9% sure I will keep them, just because they really do fit very well.

By the way, the necklace that I am wearing in several of these pictures was from Fix #1.  It's by Bay and Baubles I believe.  It has navy and green in it.  Very pretty piece!

 Item: 41Hawthorn Quilted Blouse

Review:  This was another piece that I was not sure about when I pulled it out of the box.  I did request something gray/silver, but I was thinking more of a silky/satin material.  However, I was keeping my mind open.  The quilted piece also made me think slightly of shoulder pads, but again....being open-minded.  Again, this is exactly why you should ALWAYS try on your Fix and with multiple outfits/ways too!  My stylist recommended it with the MargaretM pants above.  It was cute with those, but also really cute with the navy skinny jeans from Fix #2.

Verdict:  Again, on the fence with this one.  I really like  it, but not sure if I LOVE it....
My gut tells me if I am not 100% in love with it, I should send it back.

I liked this top better with the skinnies, but still feel like the sleeves and shoulders are a little weird.

With the Margaret M pants, as my stylist recommended :)

Item: Le Sample Embroidery Detail Racerback Tank

Opinion: This was a nice little surprise to my Fix.  Its black with cute coral stitching.  I  thought the embroidery was a nice touch.  Now, with all things sleeveless, I am thinking how it will layer in the colder months.  I actually have an Aztec cardigan with these colors in it :)  I also have a pair of light linen pants that I think this would be perfect with too!  AND I have a pair of coral shorts that it matches perfectly with!  Its soft and comfy and versatile.  That makes it a keeper in my book.

Verdict: Kept!
Norah Kate was such a sweetie during my fashion show.

So, is this going to be a 5/5 Fix??  I would love your feedback and advice, because I am torn on a couple pieces.  Thanks for visiting my blog!  Come back next month for my next Stitch Fix review.  If you would like to sign up for your own Stitch Fix subscription you can use my referral link here!

XO- Katie
